Warcraft Widescreen Fix

I have a little video game trouble with my new massive monitor, can anyone help?
I just bought a 24 inch widescreen monitor and it's pretty awesome although, I play World of Warcraft and the bigger I make the window the less FPS I have. I assume my monitor is too big for the game to handle at full screen, anyone know how I could fix this?
More resolution = lower FPS unless you upgrade the Graphics card too you might get away with just upgrading the drivers but i doubt it
